This 1-day workshop will focus on the basics of etching on copper plates. Students will learn how to use ball hard ground to make a line etching and then apply a rosin aquatint to develop a range of tones in their prints. All supplies are provided for you to make a series of small prints. Previous experience in intaglio techniques is not required. Own PPE is essential: eye protection and P2/N95/KN95 mask is essential! Participants cannot use the aquatint room without these items.

Materials Fee: $20 per person (includes a copper plate, inks and paper) to be paid to the tutor on the day.
