40|40 Anniversary Exhibition
The 40/40 Anniversary exhibition was launched at Art Systems Wickham Newcastle in November 2019 when 40 printmakers celebrated 40 years of printmaking at the Newcastle Printmakers Workshop.
40 past and present members of the workshop reflected on a year randomly allocated to each artist beginning with 1979 through to 2019. The works focused on global, local or personal interpretations, and with a twist on NPWs historical exhibitions, combining both the Miniprint and Bookprint. Prints were displayed in a variety of formats including framed, unframed and bound into artists' book, marking each decade.
